Make a small checklist
The official sketchbook screenshot places the customer's brief and budget beside a Requirements list. Quality and style qualities appear separately. Write down the requested qualities instead of relying only on the overall look.

Compare your design with this order's requirements as you choose pieces and materials. A floral example in a screenshot is only an example: use the values shown in your own commission.
How is commission quality calculated?
For a commission with customer measurements, the game rounds a score made from 30% average grain quality, 20% fit and 50% sewing accuracy. Sewing accuracy is weighted by the number of joined edges in each seam. A quality score calculated without customer measurements instead uses 40% grain and 60% sewing, with no fit component. Do not use that general preview as the customer's commission score.
Fabric-type and colour-percentage requirements count the area of the dress panels, not how many panels you cut. For a multicolour fabric, each listed colour receives an equal share of that panel's area. A small matching panel may therefore be insufficient for a percentage target.
Check payment against your version
Build 403 corrected a case where accepted, unsuccessful commissions did not pay. An accepted failure that is archived pays the listed budget; a failed dialogue can instead return the commission to unfinished for a retry without normal settlement. See the outcome and retry guide. Also check the direction of the quality condition: Not Haughty requires quality ≤ 70, rather than a minimum of 70.
